The Oklahoma Extreme Mustang Makeover will open on August 11. All horses will be available online at this time via competitive bid. The online auction will remain open throughout the event.
|Top Ten Auction|
On Friday, August 13, the Top Ten horses moving on to the Freestyle Finals will be announced. These horses will be placed on hold from bidding at this time. The Top Ten horses will then be auctioned in a separate live and online auction at the conclusion of the Freestyle Finals. This will allow in-person bidders as well as online bidders to bid on the Top Ten horses. The Top Ten horses will open at the bid price they were at when the Top Ten announcement was made. For Example: If a horse is at a bid of $5,000 on Friday before the Top Ten announcement and that horse makes the Top Ten, it will open in the live and online auction on Saturday after the Freestyle finals at $5,000 with the last bidder as the current bid holder.
Bidding will close and all finalist horses will sell at the fall of the auctioneer’s gavel on each lot.
All non-finalist horses’ lots will remain open online for bidding throughout Friday and Saturday. Bidding on non-finalist lots will begin closing approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of the Top Ten auction. This will allow all bidders an opportunity to bid on horses they may be interested in if they did not win a Top Ten horse. Non-finalist lots will stay open for bidding until there have been no bids on any lot for 5 minutes. If there is a bid on any non-finalist lot the countdown clock resets to 5 minutes.
Once both auctions close, arrangements must be made for horses to be transported. Horses must be removed from the show grounds by 10 a.m. on Sunday, August 15. It is the responsibility of the winning bidder to contact the trainer to arrange transportation. The winning bidder will be responsible for any boarding, stalling, etc. fees during this time. We encourage bidders to contact the trainers of the horse they are interested in prior to the auction to discuss these details.
MHF will provide a $250 transportation credit to the person (bidder or trainer) who bears the cost of transportation once it is arranged. See bidder terms and conditions for details about this compensation.
