Lights, Camera, Makeover! Preparing a wild horse for a virtual competition.

This month, MHF will host the Virtual NJ Extreme Mustang Makeover, an all-online event showcasing mustangs who’ve undergone a complete transformation from untouched to saddle trained over the last approximately 120 days. 

Although the training expectation is the same as for a live event, trainers have the added advantage of competing from the comfort of their own arena by submitting videos for each class. However, there are challenges to this format of competition, too.  

In this episode, we’ll hear from competitor Emma Minteer about how she’s trained her mustang and how she’s preparing to record and submit class videos. 

Then, we’ll hear from Molly Pearson about why she choose to donate the proceeds from her COVID Derby to MHF.
