Mustang Heritage Foundation is hosting a $1,300-added virtual open show September 4-14.
Get your mustangs and burros ready to show!
All BLM-branded mustangs owned or adopted are eligible to enter in one of three divisions, in hand; walk, trot or walk, trot, lope. BLM-branded burros are eligible to enter the in-hand division.
Each division consists of a pattern, trail and freestyle class.
Entry fee: $25/animal per class. 60% of each entry fee will be paid back (40% to the class and 20% to the division).
Added money: $1,300 will be added to the show and split evenly between divisions. 100% of added money will be paid back.
Exhibitor eligibility: Exhibitors age 8 years or older at the time of entry deadline is eligible to enter. Adopters/owners do not have to exhibit their horse(s). Must be current MHF member to be eligible for division payout.
Videos for each class will be reviewed, judged and scored by show judge, Matt Livengood.
Matt Livengood is a lifelong reining competitor with judging certifications in NRHA, NRCHA, AQHA specialty, and ASHA. He teaches riders and horses about reining, ranch riding and ranch versatility, as well as groundwork and starting mustangs. Matt has competed in four Mustang events, reaching the finals in all four and winning the 2017 Reno Extreme Mustang Makeover as well as the 2019 Mustang Madness freestyle in CleElum, Washington. Matt teaches and trains from his ranch, Sweet Pepper Ranch, in Nampa, Idaho.
