Bonnie Miller
Bonnie Miller is a trainer, coach, and clinician in both western and hunt seat divisions. She holds judge’s cards in seven associations including AQHA and NRCHA. She has judged major shows in seven different countries including the NRHA Futurity, the AQHA Novice Championship Show, and multiple World Shows for paints, pintos and appaloosas. Bonnie embraces the philosophy and mission of the Mustang Heritage Foundation and is honored to be a part of this event.
Terry Helder
Terry Helder’s judging experience is comprised of nearly 40 years of judging all levels of open competition, including open and 4H shows, state and county fairs, reining, working cow horse, hunters, ranch horse, and extreme trail competitions. In 2019, Terry judged the Retired Racehorse Challenge in Lexington, KY. He has been judging Extreme Mustang Makeovers since 2012 and was a finalist judge for the Mustang Million. Since 1986, Terry and his wife Peg have owned and operated Evergreen Farm, an AQHA/APHA breeding, training, and showing facility. His farm has become one of the largest performance horse programs on the east coast. Horses carrying the EF brand can be seen competing from the dressage rings to rodeo arenas. Terry’s training program is responsible for 13 national and world champions and 11 reserve champions.
Youth Judges
Nate Eicher
Nate Eicher is a four-time Extreme Mustang Makeover Champion and Reserve Champion. He has shown in reining, cutting, roping, and obstacle challenges. He specializes in putting a solid foundation on horses at his ranch in Texas. Nate has judged numerous events, including ranch horse shows, the Las Vegas and Texas TIP challenges, and Open Shows. He wishes all the best to each competitor.
Sandy Jirkovsky
Sandy Jirkovsky of Whitesboro, TX, and has been judging for 30 years. She holds cards with AQHA, APHA, ApHC, NSBA, NRCHA, NRHA, and NSBA, and has judged major events including the AQHA Youth World, the Quarter Horse Congress, the APHA World, NRHA Futurity, AQHA and APHA European World Championships, NCEA National Championships and others shows throughout the world. Sandy and her husband Jim operate J Bar S Training and specialize in training the all-around horse and rider. Sandy has shown and trained over 100 world and national champions. Her students have won numerous world and national titles in the youth and amateur divisions. She has served on several judge’s committees and as a member of the AQHA Professional Horsemen and APHA Professional Horsemen. She is a current member of the APHA Executive Committee.
Rules/Equipment Judge
Matt Livengood
Matt is a lifelong reining competitor with judging certifications in NRHA, NRCHA, AQHA specialty, and ASHA. He teaches riders and horses about reining, ranch riding, and ranch versatility, as well as groundwork and starting mustangs. Matt has competed in four mustang events, reaching the finals in all four and winning the 2017 Reno Extreme Mustang Makeover, as well as the 2019 Mustang Madness freestyle in Cle Elum, WA. Matt teaches and trains from his ranch in Nampa, ID.
