I am Luke Castro, 26 years old, from Norco, California. I have been training horses for the past 6 years. I currently take in horses for training and I also work for One Day Moore Animal Rescue, where we rehabilitate horses who have abusive backgrounds. The Mustang Makeovers are my favorite competitions to participate in. I have been fortunate enough to make Top 5 in the Mustang Magic 2018, and top 3, and Fan Favorite in Norco, CA in 2015. I can’t wait to compete and showcase one of our country’s Living Legends, the American Mustang.

Wesson is a grey 14 hand gelding that will be available to the public Saturday night. He has competed in obstacle challenges, dressage, jumping and trail riding. He is one of the easiest mustangs she has ever started and is suitable for kids and adults. Please check with Rebecca for videos and more information.
My biggest passion in life has been horses. I have been riding and training since I was 12 years old. I enjoy the challenge of a mustang and the ultimate bond that develops. Iam dedicated to bringing out the inner champion by developing the natural athletic ability of the mustang.
Sam has been around horses for about 6 years. In 2014, she competed in her first Youth Mustang Makeover and has done at least one makeover every year since. She now works at a warmblood breeding facility starting their colts and fillies undersaddle, TIPing mustangs, and saving PMU foals. She travels and performs liberty and tricks with her 2016 YEMM Mustang in hopes to show people the capabilities of these American legends.
I am so excited to be invited to this event. I have worked and trained horses all my life and found my calling with the mustangs. I have helped many wonderfull horses find their forever homes in Colorado. I have discovered the mustangs to be smart, willing, and a wonderful addition to many ranch families. Thank you to all the BLM employees and to Mustang Heritage Foundation for all you do to get these beautiful horses into homes.

He is a 10 time Mustang Makeover finalist. Being named champion of 2018 Mustang Magic has been the high point in his horsemnaship journey. It is an honor for him to train and copete with these amazing horses.
Born and raised in Western Massachusetts, I fell in love with horses around the age of ten. I began reading John Lyons books and applying his theories at the age of 15, and quickly became addicted to natural horsemanship. I began studying the different methods from various trainers and applying them to everything from Thoroughbreds to wild Mustangs! I am currently working to make training a full time job, further my skills in liberty, bridleless, and western dressage training, and form my own training methods from my experiences and studies.
