The Mustang Heritage Foundation (MHF) is excited to reveal preliminary details for three Extreme Mustang Makeover events set to be held in 2021. The events are slated to take place June 24–26, 2021, in Lexington, Kentucky; August 11–14, 2021, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and October 15–16, 2021, in Logan Township, New Jersey.
During all three action-packed events, adult and youth competitors will showcase the trust they have built with previously untouched wild horses in just 100 days of training. Spectators can expect to see a display of incredible athleticism and versatility as trainers reveal the complete transformation each horse has undergone in preparation to compete. Stakes will be high as more than $40,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded at each event.
Additional information regarding the trainer application process will be available in the near future. Interested competitors are encouraged to complete this form to be among the first to receive application details.
Due to potential COVID-19 concerns, dates, locations, and formats for all Extreme Mustang Makeover events are subject to change at any time. Please visit extrememustangmakeover.com for the most up-to-date information regarding competitor applications, animal pick-up specifics, event dates, facility guidelines, and all other details.

Hi i’ve applied for the makeover in Oklahoma City. Im wondering when we’ll know more about the event? Am I accepted for the competition? Do we pick out our horse or is one selected for us? Are the horses auctioned off at the end of the event?
MHFadmin says
Approvals for OKC applications should be out this week. If you are approved, details will be sent about picking up your horse. The horses do have to participate in the auction at the end of the event.
